Godfuckingdamnit.

I'm going to kill that damn cat for leaving half a squirrel or rat or whatever the hell that was on my bed. It's not like there's going to be many washing machines free on a Sunday night before classes. Fucking hell.

When he gets back in I am going to skin his ass and use it for a goddamn sheet.

Fucking shit.

I can understand requiring us to have our books bought for the first day. And having them with us. But requiring us to have already read the first three goddamn chapters? On the first goddamn day? What the fuck. This pre-cal class is going to piss me off all semester. Is it too late to try and switch to another section and get away from this psycho TA?

Writing was better. It only has fifty people in it instead of five hundred or whatever. Didn't look to see if there's anyone recognizable in there.

But supply lists? Goddamn! Did anyone else get slapped with $200 of crap to buy for just one class on top of the books? And it's real cute how they say that it's no excuse to not have your homework in if you can't afford the tools or materials. Yeah. Great. This scholarship isn't gonna cushion that part any, and my next insurance bill isn't going to help, either.

<s>I should just change my major now before I go broke from buying fucking garlic.</s>

At least I got to make it to that one show before things started up. It's probably going to be the last one I'll get to see for the next decade.

Shit.

That's 17 credit hours, plus I know I'm going to have practice in there somewhere on top of things; at least the real season doesn't start til spring. I hope that this insanely long lab time is when we do all of our work for cooking, because otherwise I don't know when I'm gonna get a chance to do everything on top of the class times.

So much for thinking about finding a job on top of this. There's no way something local could work like a restaurant or some shit, not with that schedule. Maybe I should try something on campus.

I'm gonna have to run between my two Tues/Thurs morning classes since they're pretty far away from each other on campus. At least everything else is in just the one building. Some days are going to be hellishly long.

Oh shit.

Tomorrow at ass-o-clock in the morning, I'm firing up the Camaro and heading out of town. It'll take a couple of days to get there cause I'm taking a detour, but Sunday afternoon I should be rolling into AU's campus.

I still can't believe that I got in on the scholarship. In some ways, I'm kinda pissed that they make you stay in school housing your first year, cause I'd rather get an apartment instead of having to live with some random guy and deal with some of their bullshit rules. But, I guess I can't complain too much, given the circumstances. It's not like I'm going to have much time after practice and classes to get a real job to pay utilities and shit. But this other random roommate shit? Yeah. I don't dig that or the dorm rules. If he says one damned thing about my cat to the RA or whoever's in charge, I swear to fucking God I'm going to beat the living shit out of him.

And speaking of practice, the team lineup I'm gonna be playing with looks pretty decent this year. Or at least they aren't a bunch of pussies too scared to play the foul game. If anything, that'll be good. No word yet on who's captain after last year, but it's all good. I can't wait til first practice.

It's weird, but I'm actually even looking forward to some of my classes, too. I think that's the first time ever. Maybe this'll actually end up being a halfway decent place. Or at least better than boot camp, anyways.
